The Space:

Located centrally in the town of Carstairs, Alberta, Good Karma Massage is owned and operated by Registered Massage Therapist Maggie Schekk. The treatment studio is in the heart of our family home and has been thoughtfully designed with rich royal blue tones, live botanicals, and soft ambient lighting to create a peaceful, restorative space for your massage.

Please note that our home is pet-friendly and shared with a well-mannered dog, cats, and a guinea pig. While the treatment space is professionally maintained, the common areas reflect the warmth of a lived-in family home. You may occasionally notice children's toys, a pair of little shoes, or the everyday signs of family life. Thank you for embracing the authenticity of our home—we're delighted to welcome you here.

The Offerings:

Therapeutic Massage is curated for your personal wellness goals such as reducing pain, improving mobility and management of acute and persistent conditions. Each initial therapeutic massage appointment begins with 15 minutes of complimentary time to review your health history, assess areas of concern, and to discuss how massage therapy can provide support.

It is imperative to me that each guest feels seen, understood and cared for in their own unique way. Therapeutic treatments may incorporate active techniques when clinically appropriate, such as active release (resisted movements), ongoing communication and consent when working with sensitive tissues or providing intra-oral treatment.

Restorative massage is performed using slow, rhythmic techniques with minimal conversation to encourage deep relaxation and support a balanced nervous system. These calming sessions create space to slow the mind, reconnect with your breath, and settle into your body.

We begin with a brief conversation to understand your preferences areas for the session such as upper body, lower body or full body. If you would like, we can also include areas often overlooked areas such as the hands, feet or scalp. Every restorative massage incorporates traditional massage techniques and gentle passive stretching to create a deeply relaxing experience.

All massage prices include GST at this time.
