Deep Tissue Massage

Description

Rhythmic massage techniques are applied using moderate to firm pressure, beginning in the superficial layers of tissue to gradually warm the muscles and encourage them to release held tension. As the tissues soften, focused work is directed toward areas of chronic tension, hypertonic muscles, and trigger points to help restore mobility, reduce discomfort, and improve overall function. Pressure is always adjusted to your comfort level and tailored to your individual needs and preferences. Techniques may include myofascial release, sustained trigger point therapy and muscle stripping using the forearms, elbows, knuckles, or reinforced thumbs and fingers, passive stretching, and pin-and-stretch techniques.
